A Real Four-Day Persian Wedding in Antalya: 166 Guests
Rather than describe this in general terms, here is a real wedding Ramarossi planned and delivered in August 2025. The couple, whose names we are keeping private here, live in California, and their guests travelled from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Iran for a celebration that ran across four days at a five-star beach resort in Antalya. A team of more than sixty people worked under Ramarossi’s direction across the four days, covering installation, logistics, decoration, production and event operations, with each night’s build starting the evening before.
Day One: Welcome Dinner
The welcome dinner was held in the resort’s beach garden for 164 guests. We built a U-shaped table with a stage at the open end for speeches, seated the couple at the head, and set the garden with string lighting and LED colour wash to shift the atmosphere as the evening went on. Guests arrived to a live harp, and a santoor player performed later in the evening as dessert went out.
Day Two: Hanabandan and Bandari Celebration
The henna night was run as a Persian and Bandari celebration for around 150 guests, with a full lighting rig, a built dance floor and a DJ playing Persian and Bandari sets through the evening. A live ney anban player joined partway through, layered over the DJ set, which is the kind of detail that lifts a Bandari night beyond a standard party format.
Day Three: Sofreh Aghd, Reception and After-Party
Hair and makeup for the bride and fifteen guests began in the morning at the hotel, timed against the photography schedule. For the ceremony, we built a platform directly on the sand with green carpet laid over it, so no guest or dress touched the beach, and a raised Sofreh Aghd platform facing the sea for the ceremony itself. The 166 guests were seated for a sunset ceremony, and cocktail hour followed in an indoor hall adjoining the reception space while photographs were taken in the last of the light.
The reception ran in the wedding hall with round tables, fresh floral and candle centrepieces, a stage for the DJ and band, and a large screen showing photographs of the couple through the years. For this wedding, the reception was scheduled to run to midnight, with the after-party continuing in the same enclosed hall until around 2am, as agreed with the venue in advance. Operating hours for outdoor music and indoor after- parties vary by venue and by what has been agreed in writing, so this schedule reflects what was arranged for this specific wedding rather than a general rule for every venue in Antalya.
Day Four: Farewell Beach Lounge
The final evening was set up as a relaxed beach garden lounge, with bean bag seating, illuminated cocktail tables, a chandelier-hung truss and live music, giving guests a low-key space to talk before flights home. Antalya in August is humid, so mounting fans on the truss structures across the four nights was an important guest-comfort measure alongside the more visible production.
Sofreh Aghd Planning
For many Persian couples and families, the Sofreh Aghd is one of the most significant parts of the ceremony, and getting the details right matters even when guests unfamiliar with the tradition don’t notice them. Our own Persian designers build and set the table, working through the mirror and candelabra placement, the sugar- grinding setup, and the floral design around what each family wants. Some families want a Quran on the spread, others a Divan of Hafez, and some want to bring a mirror or another heirloom that has already been through a previous wedding in the family. We build the table around whichever of these matter to you rather than working from a single fixed template.
Persian Entertainment and Wedding Atmosphere
For a multi-day celebration, entertainment can be planned night by night rather than as one fixed package. Depending on the event and the date, we can arrange a Persian-speaking DJ or MC, live Persian musicians such as santoor or ney anban players, Bandari sets for a henna night, a singer or live band for the reception, and moments such as a Mobarak Bad entrance or a knife dance during the cake if the couple wants them included.
